[Voice] Looking for Patterns

If anyone's up for it, how about some show and tell about the nightmares? ...I'll share mine on the board if anyone's interested in sharing theirs. Maybe there's a connection.

[A pause and a sigh.] I don't know. But we need to see if there is.

I know, I know. [Trying to wave it off, gives a sigh.]

What was yours about?

[Long pause.]

Most of mine have a similar theme. ...My worst one I could turn myself into a white firebird. I was so powerful... King Mickey told me to protect Disney Town. I was unstoppable. I took down anything that tried to get close. I had to leave for the mountain because I kept setting things on fire. And one day, an army came. Their armor shone in the light despite being black. ...It was easy... I looked into their helms afterwards. ...It was all family and friends I had killed.

Oh man… I’m sorry that’s…

[Gives a deep breath.]

It’s just a dream… We shouldn’t worry… We just have to remember it isn’t real.

But… Yeah… My nightmare… W-Well my first one was… When Bo left… Except it was… Rather… Different…

[There was a crack in his voice. He was trying to hold back his breath.]

I mean it was like… If I couldn’t ever save her again… Almost as similar as the other nightmare when Lotso would have succeeded at burning us all down in that fire… And I couldn’t save… I couldn’t save any…

[His voice choked again. Woody took a breath.]

Nothing… It’s nothing, just… Just a stupid dream… It’s fine, I’m fine, they’re fine, she’s… I hope she’s…

[Pause.]

...Sounds like both of us are afraid of failing to protect the ones we care about.

But you're right. They're just dreams.

[He clears his throat, trying his best to keep it from sounding sore at all.]

Mm yea... Yea... We... We shouldn't let it get to us.

So... I guess that's one connection... What do you think it means?

...I wish I could say. There's sort of a connection in all of these being linked to things possibly going wrong in the past, but it's a big stretch.

Well the nightmares do seem to have a connection to our own memories, and worse fears. You don't think the organization might be behind this?

I did. Can't say why, but I'm beginning to doubt it.

I realized something too. Why just the city? I've been tempted to set up camp on the Island. Sure the nightmares tire us out, but we can escape it.

Hmmm, yea that is weird.

You think that'd might work? There is that risk of sneaking past those guards though, I saw that Mayor guy really upped the security on those gates.

I'm sure I can sneak out, still. I spent a year keeping a low profile. If I can't get past these guys, I've lost my touch.

Problem is, our supplies on the Island would be limited. I'm sure some of us could live there okay, but not all of us. Not even close.

[Gives a sigh.]

Well, alright... Still, you know, be careful.

Hrn, yea, that probably wouldn't be a good idea.

I learned a long time ago what happens when I get cocky.

[A slight pause.] Spira, though... But that's not exactly safe. Here's safer, even with the Heartless, Unversed and Lumens. ...Hm. [A longer pause.]

Besides, it'd take a long time to try to get everyone out without getting caught.

Sounds like we got some plannin' to do before we set out partner.

Hm... I'm sure we can come up with somethin' though.

Yeah. I'd say it'd be good to sleep on it, but...
